Hello, my name is Dennis Adkins and I am majoring in mechanical engineering as a student at ODU from Gates County, NC. This is my first semester at a university and it was great. I met new people who soon became my new friends. I plan to continue this streak of making friends while making the grades while I’m here. I get plenty of support from family and the friends I grew up with. They tell me that they want to see me succeed in my college life as well as my working life. With that support, I feel as if I can jump this hurdle and continue with my life and live it happily. I plan to make the grade required of me so that I can reach my forever long achievement of inventing something that the human-kind needs. I know it’s a long shot, but I still have to try to get there regardless how long it could possibly take.
