An aspiring freshman at Old Dominion University studying cybersecurity and technology with career interests in DOD and NSA

 I’m a retired veteran from Gainesville, Georgia who served as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician in the Navy and previously worked in commercial HVAC. Even with experience in the maintenance and repair of gas turbine engines, I decided to focus on what I thought was impossible, college! I’m currently a freshman in college pursuing a degree in cybersecurity. I’m the first person in my family to attend college, so I’m incredibly grateful and focused. My experience and situations got up to this point and I’m not going to stop now. I’m just getting started! I’m a determined and hardworking individual who values education and personal growth and I have a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to my goals. Ultimately I want to obtain a career in the DOD, NSA or CIA and keep going from there!
