Hello, I’m Alyssa! I am twenty-two years old and I just started my education at Old Dominion this year. Unfortunately I am not fluent in the Spanish language despite being half Puerto Rican. My first experiences with speaking Spanish came from my mother and a few episodes of Dora the Explorer. When I started middle school, I enrolled in my first Spanish speaking course and have been studying it ever since.

In the far future, I would love to travel to various Hispanic countries to see how much of the language I have retained over the years. The monstrous header image at the top of this page was taken during my trip to Cuba two years ago. Throughout this site, viewers will find information which has helped me expand my knowledge of speaking a second language. I hope you enjoy the journey!
