I am an ambitious and resilient single mother of three children in her Junior year at Old Dominion University pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Addiction Treatment and Prevention. My ultimate goal is to complete my Master’s Degree, become a licensed professional counselor and go on to work in my community as a political advocate to end the stigma surrounding addiction; as this is a significant health disparity in our world.
When I am not studying I can be found working at the Shenandoah Lodge as either the Concierge or as a Lifestyle Coordinator for the Trilogy Members, a wealthy, well traveled 55+ community of very interesting people. Working with such a diverse population reinforced my interest in Cross Culture Psychology and inspired me to consider studying abroad through the Human Services Program.
My passions include health & wellness, cooking, gardening, painting, raising my hens, and playing with my two cats and golden retriever. These passions are also the foundation for various modalities I intend to use in holistic, integrative, recovery treatment once I have attained my educational and career goals.
