I am currently in my second year at Old Dominion and majoring in cybercrime. I was born and raised in Bristow, Virginia. I grew up playing multiple sports like lacrosse, football, hockey, and baseball.Ive always considered myself to be athletic and love doing anything that’s considered being active. I choose cybercrime because of the rapidly evolving technological world around us.
While I’m still early in my cybersecurity journey, I’m eager to learn and explore how I can contribute to defending against emerging threats. My long-term goal is to work for a government agency or in the military, where I can apply my knowledge and skills to our national security.
Growing up Ive worked multiple jobs in the service industry including restaurants, wineries, and trampoline parks. I bring strong communication skills and public service from my previous work experience. Working closely with others in fast-paced environments has taught me the value of teamwork and has enhanced my ability to thrive under pressure. The skills I learned and developed makes me believe I will be a positive acquisition in the cyber world.
