ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Albreana, a cybersecurity major with an interest in digital security. After high school, I wasn’t sure what path to take, but during my first year at Tidewater Community College, I took a coding class that made me realize how much I enjoyed working with technology. Growing up, I was always the “computer tech” in my family, so focusing on tech felt as if it were my purpose. I’ve earned my Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity and am now pursuing my Bachelor of Science at Old Dominion University. Outside of school, I’m a member of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society and Vanity Effect, a women’s empowerment group that helps women build confidence and leadership skills.

“Learning social sciences has helped me understand human behavior, improve communication, and make smarter decisions in cybersecurity”.

Journal Entries

In my journal entries, I reflected on questions that helped me think more deeply about cybersecurity and how social sciences play a role in the field. Writing these entries allowed me to explore how human behavior, decision-making, and societal factors impact security. This process strengthened my understanding of both the technical and human sides of cybersecurity and helped me approach problems with a more thoughtful, well-rounded perspective.
