I chose ODU because of how affordable it is and to stay here near the beach and with my family since I grew up in Norfolk. The School of Nursing at ODU is astounding and highly accredited, therefore I wanted to be able to receive my education from here because I believed it would give me the best foundation possible for my future career, especially with its new merger with EVMS and Sentara.
Something interesting about me is that I know A LOT about boats. I rowed all throughout high school and grew up in a nautical family since a lot of them participated in the Navy, hence living in a military city, so I know all of the mechanics and foundations of these water vessels.
