Hello Everyone!

My name is Alexa Allen and I am currently a senior here at ODU.  I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Services.  After graduating in the Spring, I am hoping to get my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from ODU to support my future career goals of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.  I am taking this Cross-Cultural Psychology course because I believe the role of culture in human behavior is an important factor to consider, especially as a counselor or helping professional.  My specific interests in psychology include child and adolescent psychology and abnormal psychology.  I hope to use these interests to pursue a career working in a pediatric inpatient mental health facility.
