Hello my name is Allison Holland! I am from Franklin, Virginia. Although, I was born and grew up in Suffolk, Virginia. There is not much going on where I am from, just fields and the small town with some stores. However I still love it there and will always call it my home. This is my first year at Old Dominion University and I am a transfer student from Camp Community College. I chose ODU because of the location and because they have an amazing program for the major I wish to pursue. I am currently planning to major in Dental Hygiene, and I apply this year! I have loved this field of study ever since I was a sophomore in high school and my sister has been my mentor guiding me through everything I know. I have also had the pleasure of interning with her in my dental office that I have been going to for most of my life. I have worked with some of the most amazing and inspiring people and they have taught me so many useful skills and techniques that will carry me throughout my entire career. In addition to my love to the dental field, I love spending time with my family and friends as well as exploring new places in nature. Exploring new food places have my heart as well, you can never go wrong with tasty food!
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.”
