Hello everyone my name is Anaiya Edwards, but most people call me Nai. I’m from Norfolk, Virginia and I chose ODU because of their dental hygiene program. I went to the open house and I instantly fell in love with it. It’s also close to home as well. I enjoy watching anime and hanging out with friends. I love coffee so very much, it just brings me so much joy.

I chose dental hygiene as my major because I  want to promote dental health and how important it is. I also enjoy the work hours in this field it is very flexible. When I got braces in middle school I alway was so curious about how they put my braces on and the tools they used. I do have experience in this field. Over the summer I observed at my dental office and assisted as well. It was so exciting getting into the real thing. I also have my certification in taking dental x-rays. Which is an advantage for me to get a job as an assistant while I’m in school.
