Student Leaders lunch with ODU’s President Broderick.

Greetings! My name is Andrew Frazier and I am a graduating senior Human Services student at Old Dominion University. I am also a student veteran having served in the United States Army Reserves. I decided to dedicate my life to helping others throughout my time in the military and afterward. Thats when I realized that I really loved helping others in need and that I wanted to do it outside of a law enforcement discipline which led me here to Old Dominion University.

Since my time here at ODU, I have focused my work on at-risk children that fall close to entering the school to prison pipeline. I have also started crafting and fully implementing my own non-profit that helps at-risk teens and transform them into classroom leaders. I have also taken pride in telling my own personal story and using it as a way to advocate for children’s rights and a just criminal justice system. Through all of the work I have done I really value the times were I learn from different communities through fellowships, cohorts, and panels. My work has led me from states such as New Mexico, Texas, and Maryland advocating and applying what I have learned through both the LeADERS program and through being a Monarch Student Leader. I will always continue this work because I believe that every child deserve a chance and at times all they need is a push toward greatness.
