Hello! My name is Susan Armstrong II. I am a 23 year-old full time student and mother of a wonderful 5 year-old named Isabella. I recently finished my Associates in Social Science – as of July 2019 – and I am now a Junior here at ODU working on my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Special Education.
I work full time as a TA – Teachers Assistant – at a private school for kids/teens with Autism. I have been at this school for going on 6 months now and prior to that I worked in home with an autistic teen for 4 years. I truly love what I do and I want to continue to work with kids with autism and related disorders. Which is why I chose psychology as my major and want to continue my education and career within the field. My overall goals are to obtain my Ph.D. in Psychology, specifically wanting to become a Behavioral Psychologist/Clinical psychologist and as well have training in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis).
I am taking this course to continue to learn more fascinating and amazing information about psychology and as well, help me continue to broaden my knowledge of the importance of social interactions in relation to psychology. I look forward to all that I will learn within this course.
