My name is Antonio Shields, I am a graduating senior at Old Dominion University who will be graduating in May 2024 with my Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity with a current GPA of 3.93. As a second-degree seeking student, I also possess other degrees in Biological and Health Science along with multiple years of military experience that have provided me opportunities to develop and display my leadership abilities in the healthcare field.

I have always had a natural interest in technology but decided to pursue my other interest of being in the healthcare industry. After years of being involved in various aspects of patient care and seeing how the world was changing, I felt a career change was needed and decided to begin the cybersecurity journey that I am now on. With the increased involvement of technology in our everyday lives, the need for cybersecurity and data protection has become more important than ever. Companies are reporting data breaches more than years previous, putting millions of individual’s information at risk. As companies and organizations do more to fortify their cyber defense against intruders, I feel I can be an asset in aiding to achieve that goal.

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and this portfolio displays some of the knowledge I have obtained throughout my matriculation at Old Dominion University in pursuit of my Cybersecurity degree. The portfolio also shows how that obtained knowledge was applied in labs, projects, and other assignments. As I continue to gain knowledge and new skills throughout my cybersecurity career, I will continue to add to my portfolio, but in the meantime, please enjoy what is currently available for your viewing pleasure.
