Hello Everyone,

My name is Katie Barbera. I live in Virginia Beach, VA with my husband and four fur children. We have two dogs and two cats. I moved to Virginia Beach about three years ago from Atlanta, GA to join my husband. At the time he was active duty Navy, and is now a civilian. I am going on nine years in college, and will not stop until I obtain my Bachelors in Business Administration! I initially went to school to become an LCP, and was focusing on becoming an addictions counselor. I decided to take a different route with my career after accepting and leaving a job in residential recovery. This is my first semester at ODU and I am revisiting the idea of having a minor in Psychology. Hence, the reason I am taking this course. I currently work as an Executive Assistant for several Directors of the IT department for a Hospital, and feel more motivated than ever to finish up my degree to move my career forward with the company. I look forward to utilizing what I learn in this class in my current position and future positions!
