Welcome!

Hello there! I’m Brianna Carter, and I’m deeply committed to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. Over the past five years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of mental health struggles, often resulting in tragic outcomes. This experience has ignited my passion to become a guiding light for those in desperate need of support, especially during moments when they may be contemplating self-harm. Originally from Cumberland, VA, my journey began with a desire to care for others, leading me to start my college career as a nursing major. However, a transformative experience prompted me to shift my focus towards mental health caregiving. My passion lies in providing support not only for physical ailments but also for mental well-being.

My professional focus centers on suicide and mental health awareness. Through rigorous coursework, practical projects, and extracurricular involvement, I’ve developed skills in critical thinking, stress management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and coping strategies. As I near graduation, my primary goal is to obtain my QMHP-A certification and offer guidance to individuals navigating challenging times. Moreover, I aspire to serve as a community advocate.

Thank you for exploring my e-portfolio. I hope this glimpse into my journey and aspirations sheds light on my professional identity and future ambitions. Please navigate through my portfolio to learn more about my projects, experiences, and accomplishments. I eagerly anticipate connecting with you!

Warm regards,
Brianna Carter
