My name is Isabella Hollingsworth, and I am a senior at Old Dominion University majoring in Health Services Administration, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2025. I received my Associate of Applied Science degree from Tidewater Community College and hold a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certificate.

From January 2025 to April 2025, I have been given the opportunity to complete a Health Service Administration internship through my current employer, Virginia Rheumatology Clinic (VRC). VRC offers a comprehensive range of specialized services for individuals with rheumatic disorders and osteoporosis. The practice includes rheumatology consultations, interpretation of Bone Density (DXA) scans, convenient in-office blood drawing, lifestyle and exercise counseling, in-house ultrasound services, and serene on-site infusion therapy.

Virginia Rheumatology Clinic is a for-profit private practice conveniently located in the heart of Chesapeake, Virginia. Established in 2006 by Dr. Brinda Dixit, VRC operates as a standalone outpatient clinic dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-centered care. The clinic’s mission is to support patients in managing chronic diseases and improving their overall quality of life.

Georgia Bonney, the Practice Manager at Virginia Rheumatology Clinic and my preceptor is a highly experienced healthcare professional with over 30 years in the field. She has served as the Practice Manager at VRC for 12 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Old Dominion University. Georgia is a Certified Medical Practice Manager, a Certified Rheumatology Coder, and a Certified Rheumatology Management Specialist, bringing a wealth of expertise to her role. As Practice Manager at Virginia Rheumatology Clinic, Georgia Bonney oversees daily operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and implements strategies to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.
