Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Cybersecurity e-Portfolio page. My name is Benjamin Frankart, I am currently a 20 year old junior, and a cybersecurity undergrad who is set to graduate in 2026 and enter the Cybersecurity work force. I am currently learning what I can to perfect my knowledge of the field and seeking out internships. Although I have a brief experience with Cybersecurity, I have great experience with computers and genuinely enjoy gaining knowledge about script languages, protocols, etc. Although none of my previous extracurricular activities (Cross Country and Track, 2018, 2019-2020, 2021) demonstrate my technical skill with computers, my hobbies of gaming and history research, and my past experiences of extensive computer work for personal tasks at home and at school do.
Ever since I could walk, I had a curiosity for computers and technology, and later developed a sort of passion for wanting to better understand the fundamentals of tech to stay ahead of the game while I was in elementary school. This continued, and while my primary use for computers was for entertainment and education, I always enjoyed learning more about them and took in whatever I could to make utilizing them easier and more efficient. This carried over into my college career, as I initially registered without a particular major in mind, but later began to connect and befriend those already in the School of Cybersecurity. They went on to inform me of the expanding job market and the skills required, which aided me in my decision of declaring myself a Cybersecurity major at the beginning of my sophomore year. Since then, I have desired to learn as much as I can about my field, retaining everything I learn from my classes, from ethics to learning the various programming languages, to prepare myself for my eventual career.
