My name is Erica Bennett and I am a junior at Old Dominion University majoring in Psychology. Academically, I have both short term and long term goals. I met my first long term goal last semester when I graduated with my Associates in Science, summa cum laude. My next long term academic goal is to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and to hopefully graduate again with highest honors. The study and science around Psychology has always been an interest of mine. I find the brain fascinating and enjoy learning as much as there is to learn about it. With a strong medical background, I hope to use my degree in a clinical setting, working one on one with patients. My life goal is to leave the world in a better place than it was before I existed.
Social Psychology is a course that I ultimately chose to take because we are all social beings. Wouldn’t it be great if we all learned how and why we interact with one another the way we do? I am excited to learn about how and why people have the attitudes that they do and how our behaviors and feelings affect the way in which we communicate and interact with others.
