My name is Justine Rose Bernal! My mom is from Ecuador and my dad is from Colombia. I am saying this because I am proud to be a part hispanic. Although, I am from New York, I mostly identify myself with being hispanic. I love the music, I love the food, I love the language, and most importantly I was raised by my mom’s mom. She is one of the reasons that I am the person I am today! She has installed empathy, kindness, caution, confidence, family, care, and love in my heart and soul. Family is a big part of my life, even though family may drive us crazy, they are the reason why we exist. Another thing that my grandma has installed in me is that education is important in life. My goal as a student right now is to focus on my studies by studying asking questions, and  doing my assignments. Once I graduate I hope to find a part time job and start saving to pay my loans and once I am at a point to start school again , I plan on getting my Master’s Degree. I know this is a whole lot, but I am confident enough to know that even if it takes time or something comes my way and delays my journey, that everything will be okay because I know it may not be my time yet and/or this is part of my journey, and that I will get to where I need to be when it is time! 🙂
