About Me
Welcome to my page! My name is Koi Blue and I’m in my junior year in Psychology. I aspire to become a psychologist, so graduate school is my next step on this journey—although I am still doing my research on schools. Beyond doing well in my courses, I strive to draw connections between my classes and the real world applications I can implement in my everyday life. I’m hoping this course will help me understand cultures from a psychological perspective to improve interactions in an ever globalized world.
To be transparent, my interest in psychology is a personal one. I have needed therapy (and still do) myself to overcome struggles of growing up in a dysfunctional household. I can say with confidence that if I had not sought therapy and had a professional challenge the toxicity I had grown accustomed to, I would not be as independent, healthy and confident as I am today. The development has been profound and astounding, and a continuing work in progress. I am inspired to give others the tools to improve their quality of life as well.
