About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Page! I am happy you’re here and I am eager to share some information about myself. My name is Ainslie Boutot and I am in my senior year at Old Dominion University studying Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Communications. I am taking this class due to my minor of Psychology, in regards to learning more about the fundamental basis of human behavior and patterns in the mental state between persons in everyday life. I chose my degree due to my fasination of communication between people and societies of the world and the physical action of how sound and speech are produced. When someone is unable to communicate in what society deems normal and/or understandable, they attand lessons with a Pathologist! Being able to help someone communicate their thoughts with physical sound to friends and family makes my degree a dream to be able to study. While I graduate ODU in the spring, I aim to recieve a Graduate Degree in this field, though I am still researching and applying to schools in Virgina, including ODU. Some additional facts about myself is that I am a sister of Pi Beta Phi sorority on campus and hold a Panhellenic Delegate position for the chapter. I also aim to join NSSLHA and Operation Smile, which are two Speech Language Pathology based organizations on campus. Furthermore, a couple of fun facts about me would be that I love Marvel movies and I named my little dog Rocket after watching Guardians of the Galaxy! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I hope you enjoy my page!
