Hello, my name is Katherine Burleson. I was born and raised in Yorktown, Virginia and have lived in this area my whole life. I am currently twenty two years old and a junior this school year. I took a year off from school after high school to work full time, then I attended community college for three years earning my associate degree in social sciences. I transferred to ODU this fall and I am currently a psychology major. I am taking this course as a requirement to my degree, but I am excited to gain knowledge from this course this semester. I hope to graduate double majoring in psychology and another major I have not fully decided on. I intend to get a career after graduating with helping people, and I hope to do it in a way that relates to my psychology major. I chose to be a psychology major because I want to be able to understand how people think so I can apply that knowledge to helping people improve their lives.
