Purpose

The purpose of this website to show you my inner thoughts and processes regarding each of the required reading texts. In each post, I will discuss my reactions to the text, some critical aspects of the text that I find need to be address, as well as my opinions. Each journal entry may coincide with my weekly response papers and I may even post my response paper with each entry. This website is an easier way to watch my increasing development of critical analysis and personal reflection. On the first day of class, the quote “To write poetry after Auschwitz is barbaric” by Theodor Adorno was discussed in class as a Segway to start the semester. As we have read memoirs and other forms of Holocaust literature throughout the semester, I found a quote by the same man that contradicts his previous statement and it fits perfectly with what we have learned :
