Hey everybody! My name is Iyonna Christian, but my friends and family call me Yonna. I was born and raised here in Virginia. I am a junior here at ODU. I recently switched from a major in Nursing with a minor in Psychology to Psychology now becoming my sole major. I plan on pursuing a career in Child Psychology. I love the vibrant energy that children have. When I was in high school and my first year of college, I worked at an elementary school summer camp. That is when I truly knew I wanted to work with children. I believe the nurturing of a child’s mind is crucial at a young age. Children are the future, and their environment is one factor that can influence their behavior. I am taking this course to understand the psychological cultural difference all around.
