Hey y’all! My name is Clara Hennessey, and I am a freshman at Old Dominion University. I am Virginia born and bred and have never had a desire to leave the area. I chose ODU because of the proximity to home, the many available scholarships, and the rigorous nursing program. One of the reasons I love living in Virginia is the Shenandoah Mountains. Hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors (especially in the fall) are some of my favorite things to do! I also love playing sports, working out, and trying out new recipes. I am the oldest of four girls, and our favorite things to do together (besides teasing each other non-stop) are playing music and hanging out with friends. I was homeschooled all the way from first grade through the end of high school, and that has provided me with many valuable skills and experiences which have proven useful in college. I love love love science. Biology, chemistry, physics, and anatomy were absolutely my favorite part of my high school education.
