Hello, and welcome to my e-portfolio! My name is D’Onna Coleman. I am a student at Old Dominion University and I study Biomedical sciences with a focus on pre-medicine and an undeclared minor in Spanish. I have had an interest in Spanish ever since I was a child. It was required to take a language when I was growing up in school, so I chose Spanish. I plan on using Spanish when I become a doctor (OB/GYN), that way my patients will feel comfortable. While in my fourth semester at college I stumbled across a class called Spanish for Health Professions. I felt this class would benefit me in many ways because I want to be a doctor. While taking this class I learned so much and always left the class feeling more confident in my learning capabilities and my growing Spanish vocabulary. I highly recommend this class.
