About Me

My name is Curtia Fenner, I go by Tia. I’m a really giggly person with a bubbly personality. I love to making people laugh. I’m and only child, so I never had anyone to talk to growing up … other than myself. It helped me with my listening skills in the long run. I give advice to my friends when they need someone to confide in or just to talk to in general. I’m not really a people person but I think I’m pretty good at hiding that, but I think I’m not a people person because of me being an only child I was never around people.

I’m a Business Management major with minor in Sports Management. I want use my degree to help small businesses grow into bigger businesses. I’m not sure on what I want to do with my minor just yet, I just picked it up about a month after Christmas break.

Coming in to English 110 I didn’t think I would enjoy the class, but I indeed do. I enjoy the lesson plans that the professor gives to us, she has open my eyes to things I didn’t know. I like the way she teaches and how she goes about lessons, she is always prepared for class and doesn’t just go off of the first thing that comes to her mind. I am a visual learner, so it helps that my professor actually goes through and writes things on the boards instead of just having slide shows and throwing notes at us.

As a writer I feel as if I have grown since I left high school. I took a transition to college writing class before I entered English 110, and it really helped me a lot. I actually enjoy writing and not just for classes, I enjoy writing out of class too. I stared writing a book one time, but I took a break to focus on school. My best friend once told me that I should take a creative writing class and I loved the idea of doing that, but I haven’t gotten the chance to just yet.
