Hello! My name is Jorge Romo, I just go by Jay. I am 28 years old. Born and raised in Chicago.

Currently, I am enrolled in my first classes at ODU since about 10 years ago. Super excited to get back to learning and earning my degree, I would be the first in my family to do that.

My professional experience includes insurance agent at State Farm and Training Manager at T-Mobile. I joined the United States Navy a little over 3 years ago. I was deployed at the end of 2021, with the USS Harry S. Truman and just returned in September. I am an EM3 (Electrician’s Mate Petty Officer 3rd Class). Using my previous experience at State Farm, I started my own financial services brokerage firm. My specialty will be as a catapult electrician after completing the course for that this November.

I have traveled to most of the US and Mexico, I have been to multiple countries to include Panama, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Jamaica, Greece, Italy, Spain, Croatia, and France. I have huge place in my heart for my family, wife, friends, and food. If I can ever help anyone in any way, I will do my best to.
