Welcome to my Cybersecurity E-Portfolio. My name is Morgan Brown, and I am currently a junior Cybersecurity major at Old Dominion University. This Spring semester, I aim to further develop my understanding of cybersecurity not only as a technical field but as one that is deeply influenced by social, legal, and policy-driven factors. Before attending Old Dominion University, I spent a year at Tidewater Community College, where I became familiar with college life and began shaping my academic and professional goals. While my exact career path is still evolving, I am using this semester to explore how cybersecurity practices intersect with cyber policy, cyber law, and the social dimensions of our digital world. Through my undergraduate studies, I hope to strengthen my insight into these areas and narrow my focus toward a career that aligns with both my technical interests and the broader societal impact of cybersecurity.

About Me

Beyond my academic and career interests, I am a 20-year-old resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, and have lived in the Hampton Roads area my entire life. As a primarily online student and commuter at Old Dominion University, my coursework and responsibilities often limit my participation in on-campus activities and peer engagement. While this presents certain challenges, it has also encouraged me to develop independence and strong time-management skills. Outside of completing schoolwork, I enjoy spending time at home with my dog, browsing social media, and online shopping as a way to unwind. As I progress through this academic year, my goals include maintaining a healthy balance between my academic responsibilities and personal life, continuing to perform well in my courses, strengthening my sense of direction within the cybersecurity field, and building habits that support long-term personal and professional growth.
