My name is Jaden Hames, and I am a freshman at Old Dominion University majoring in Cybersecurity with a minor in Computer Science. I expect to graduate in 2030. I chose Cybersecurity because I like the flexibility of the field, while my Computer Science minor gives me more technical and programming experience.

I am also involved in Army ROTC and received a three-year ROTC scholarship. My goal is to commission as a Second Lieutenant and become an Army Cyber Officer. I am interested in Army Cyber because of the experience and opportunities it can provide for a future civilian cybersecurity career.

So far, I have maintained all A’s in my classes and earned a Digital Literacy Master Certificate and a Python Next Gen certification. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, playing basketball, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with family and friends.
