My name is Daisy Fuentes, and I am currently pursuing a degree in dental hygiene with the goal of becoming an orthodontist. My fascination with helping people perfect their smile started when I first got introduced to braces. I was captivated by the entire process, from start to finish. Ever since then, my goal has always been to help people achieve their perfect smile. During my Junior and Senior years of high school, I attended Norfolk Technical Center which is a school specialized in helping high school students get a head start on their careers. I went there to specialize in dentistry, and I came out with multiple certifications that helped me get a head start on my career. One of my proudest achievements was passing the National Radiation Health and Safety exam at an early age. However, while my passion is primarily focused on dentistry, I realized I should expand my knowledge in cybersecurity. Cybersecurity plays a significant role in protecting sensitive information, especially in the healthcare field. It is important to me to be able to understand the digital systems that I will be working with to ensure that everything goes smoothly, and patient data is secure. I would like to expand my knowledge in case of an emergency and protect my future workplace.
