Greetings, funny seeing you here! My name is Dane Bodmer. This is my second year at ODU, as you may guess I am a sophomore. I aspire to be a cybersecurity analyst, to be able to monitor security threats and network traffic. Implementing security measures to protect an organization’s systems and data.

Since the fifth grade I have been honing my skills with coding and programming. Now where I stand today with 9+ years of coding knowledge I am proficient in python programming. I have acquired the skills of security monitoring, knowledge of security frameworks, incident detection and response.

These days my time is spent studying computer science fundamentals, networking, systems security, cybersecurity principles, cyber policies, data forensics, ethical hacking, penetration testing, security operations, and secure software development. In order to strengthen my ability to protect our nation from cyber warfare internally or externally.

Outside of my studies you will find me hunting, fishing, playing tunes on my guitar, and playing with my dog best friend Beau.
