Hello everyone, my name is Demetrius Brown, and I am majoring in Computer Science and Information Technology with a focus in cybersecurity. I recently completed my associate degree and plan to continue my education at Old Dominion University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. One interesting fact about me is that I am the oldest of five siblings. I also enjoy trying new restaurants and spending time with my dog.

What interests me most about cybersecurity is learning how to protect systems and information from cyber threats. Technology plays a huge role in everyday life, and I find it interesting how companies and organizations work to keep their data secure. My career goal is to work in cybersecurity, especially in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). I am also currently studying for the CompTIA Security+ certification because I want to continue building my technical skills and gain experience in the field. During this course, I hope to learn more about cybersecurity tools, real-world threats, and ways to improve problem-solving skills in technology.
