Hello. My name is Haven Habhab. I am a senior who will graduate this May with my bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and an Undergraduate Certificate in Diversity Studies. Afterward, I will get my master’s in Security Studies. My career goal is to become a federal agent.
Reflection
These three courses will allow me to interact with people differently because they expanded my knowledge and gave me a more diverse perspective. For example, in social inequality, I learned that out of all the developed countries, the U.S. has one of the lowest rates of social mobility. These statistics really put it in perspective about how hard it is to move up from the class you were born in. In ethnicity race and crime I learned about all the statistics of race inequalities and unfair treatment. In disability and justice I learned about all the social programs and laws that enforce equality that are not fully enforced. Overall these classes are extremely important for someone to take. I will be able to communicate more efficiency with other groups and understand other perspectives.
