My name is Danielle; I am born and raised in Virgina. I graduated from Germanna Community College with my Associate of Arts and Sciences with a major in General Studies in 2021. I am glad I made the decision to take the leap and start my Cyber Security journey at Old Dominion University School of Cyber Security. My short-term career goal is to become A+ Certified and complete my bachelor’s program to ensure that I have the technical and writing skills in addition to the soft skills attained from working in the insurance industry for eight years. My long-term goal is to ultimately combine my insurance agent background and cybersecurity knowledge to establish secure systems and applications for agents to use improving customer interaction while maximizing agent efficiency. Another career goal of mine is to gain experience in the cyber insurance field which is another way for me to combine my risk analysis and cybersecurity knowledge to aid small businesses in selecting the right liability policy for their risk. Currently in my professional life I work as an auto insurance underwriter, where my day to day consists of evaluating vehicle and driver fraud risk. In my personal life I enjoy tending to my houseplants, listening to podcast, traveling, and binge-watching TV.
