About

My Name is Destiny Vaughan and I’m a senior at Old Dominion University majoring in Health Service Administration with a minor in Management. I was able to secure a paid internship opportunity as a Emergency Medicine Telehealth Medical Scribe through a company called ScribeAmeria. After a successful interview, I was was offered a placement site at MedStar Health Urgent Care. This is a remote internship that will give me the opportunity to virtually work one-on-one with a physician, perform documentation in the EHR, observe patient flow, gather information for the patient’s visit, and collaborate with the physician to deliver the most efficient patient care possible.
