Hello! I am Carlos Washington and I am a soon to be graduate of Old Dominion University, pursuing a BS in Cybersecurity. In the fall 2020 semester, I will start the MS in Cybersecurity program at Old Dominion University. I have recently gained employment in the IT field and my goal is to continue to grow in the company and in the field. I desire to be an expert within the field of Information Technology. Upon completion of CYSE 494, I will be able to call myself an ODU Alum, and I am looking forward to it.

The entrepreneurial venture that I sought out to cultivate is a 2-layered and multifaceted innovation. The first aspect of my entrepreneurial idea deals with creating a mentorship and extracurricular program for students. The program starts in middle school and goes up to sophomore year in college. It is important to start young! The youth are the future. The second aspect of my innovation deals with increasing diversity and inclusion amongst the field.
