Hello! I’m Paul Cumiskey, originally from Scottsville, Virginia, and I recently moved to Norfolk to further my education. I’m currently a student at Old Dominion University (ODU), working towards a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity.
I have a strong technical foundation in cybersecurity, with experience in network security, ethical hacking, and risk assessment. My passion for IT extends beyond the classroom, as I actively explore emerging cybersecurity trends, penetration testing techniques, and secure coding practices. I enjoy working with various security tools such as Wireshark, Kali Linux, and SIEM solutions to analyze and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Beyond my studies, I am constantly expanding my skill set through hands-on labs, certifications, and personal projects. I am particularly interested in threat intelligence, digital forensics, and incident response. My goal is to contribute to the cybersecurity field by developing innovative security solutions and helping organizations strengthen their defenses against cyber threats.
I am eager to continue learning, collaborating with professionals in the industry, and gaining real-world experience as I work towards achieving my academic and professional aspirations.
