Hi, I’m Essence. I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University, and I also have an Associate of Science in Information Technology. I’ve always been more of a hands-on learner, which is one of the reasons I became interested in technology. I enjoy working with computers, troubleshooting problems, and learning how different systems work.

I previously worked as a computer technician, where I gained hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting computers. That experience helped me realize that I wanted to continue growing in the technology field and expand my knowledge beyond basic computer support.

My goal is to build a career in cybersecurity, with a long-term interest in security engineering and cloud security. I’m also interested in strengthening my skills in networking and computer systems because having a strong technical foundation will help me grow in cybersecurity. As I continue my education, I plan to build my skills through coursework, certifications, and hands-on experience.

This ePortfolio will give me a place to share some of the work I’ve completed throughout my cybersecurity program and show how my knowledge and skills grow over time.
