Hello! I am Jake Fagan, a Senior at Old Dominion University. I am graduating this fall semester on Dec. 16, 2023! I work part time for a small, family owned winery in Centreville and Aldie, Virginia, where I’ve gained a lot of business experience and knowledge of wine. My goals for the future is to graduate, and try to find a cybersecurity job, preferably in the private sector. The experience I’ve had as an entrepreneur has definitely be a learning experience. My team designed an online marketplace for small businesses in Norfolk, VA after failing on our idea for a cyber hygiene app. I will most likely use the knowledge I gained from this class in the future to help give my input and feedback to whatever company I may end up. Currently I have no plans to move forward with the business created in this class but maybe I will create a new business down the line!
