My name is Gideon Koomson, a Freshman at ODU majoring in cybersecurity, aspiring to become a penetration tester to enhance organizational security through ethical hacking. I’ve always been interested in computers since I was younger, and I’m really passionate about coding. Math has always been my favorite subject in school because I love the challenge and satisfaction of problem solving. I would want to be a penetration tester to simulate cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities in an organization’s security so I can find ways to help improve them. I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can my next four years at ODU and applying it to my future career. I love meeting new people, which I hope to do at ODU.
