Hello, my name is Glenda Whyte, and I am in the Hampton Roads section of Virginia. I currently attend Old Dominion University, as a senior and wanted to learn Spanish to help me with dealing with different people. I am a training and development major with a minor in Human Services. I currently have family that speaks Spanish and wanted to learn how to converse with them as well. I am currently working in the financial industry with mutual funds, and have been there for almost four years. I am a mom to two beautiful girls, one of whom attended Old Dominion University as well and graduated in December 2019.

My goals are to gain employment with a non-profit agency upon retirement and while serving that community I am able to utilize my Spanish to asset them. I believe that my purpose in life is to serve the community and I have been thinking about that a lot while I work my full-time employment. How can I serve the citizens of Virginia, especially the disabled veteran population?

I am very dedicated to my mission and my goals.
