Hello,

My name is Virginia Grady I am currently a junior here at Old Dominion University. I attended high school some what locally, in Isle of Wight county and graduated with an advanced diploma. I am now studying nursing here at ODU and will be applying to their program this February. In addition to taking classes I also work as a nursing assist on a neuro- medical unit at a local hospital in order to gain hands on experience in my field. In the future I hope to return to Old Dominion to study as a Nurse Practitioner and further my career. I am taking this class as a part of my health and wellness minor. I am hoping that this course will show me professional ways of understanding and communicating with patients who come from cultural backgrounds different than my own.
