My name is Gabriela Elysa Reynoso. Almost everyone calls me “Gaby” for short. I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, but where I feel at home is in Miami, Florida with my family.
When searching for Universities to attend Old Dominion University was a last resort and not because I thought it was a bad school, but because I did not want to attend a school right in my backyard. Even though ODU was not an option, I still visited all the open houses. During a Health Science Open House, I met the most inspiring students in the Nursing Program that made me forget all the poor excuses I was making for not wanting to attend ODU. As I continued to visit Old Dominion, I feel in love with the passion the students felt toward their school and how much the faculty cared about student success. Everyday that I am at ODU, I get to see all those things for myself.
Outside of school my time is limited, but I love to fill the short amount of time usually baking, hanging out with my friends and family, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee while listening to music.
