About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Ashley M. Griffith and I am from the Bronx. My family are all from Guyana; which is in South America and not Africa. But my close cousins and I are the first generation born Americans in our family. I am a senior at Old Dominion University; my major is Psychology with a minor in Human Services. My goal when I complete all of my schooling is to become a Family and Marriage Therapist and eventually open up my own practice. My dream job came from coming from a broken home and knowing how it can affect others. Therefore, I want to help families in every way possible. I feel like this class will give me all of the needed tools in order to help me in my field of work. This course will explain how to understand individuals’ interactions and things of that nature. For my free time I love to sleep and spend time with my family and friends. Recently, I have been on a journey with myself where I am learning myself again. I tell myself affirmations every single day and I love the change that I am seeing within myself; self love is definitely a daily practice.
