Going into this course, many of my peers had told me that this course will be one of the hardest classes you’ve taken, but you will gain and learn so much from it. I believe that this class has been one of the best classes I have taken at ODU. Coming out of this class I feel that I have the tools to better prepare myself for a career in the engineering field. The way this course implements a course project has been one of the biggest help in learning the material for this course as it provides a good example of what working in the engineering field will be like. This course and the things I have learned from it will be a great resource after I graduate and prepare to enter the workforce.

My learning from this course is best reflected in the course project. The way this project was set up helped facilitate learning and I think my learning can be best demonstrated through it. One way I can see this course helping me in the future is by knowing the fundamentals of fluid mechanics and being able to demonstrate that knowledge. This course can be very applicable to a future job since fluids are used in a multitude of applications in the engineering world. One piece of advice I would give to myself before going into this class is don’t be scared to ask for help. Being in college is the time to mess up and learn from your mistakes, not the work place.
