Hi Everyone! My name is Harley McCann! 

My hometown is Fairview Heights, IL. I was originally born in New Jersey, but I moved to IL when I was 4 years old! My parents are both retired Airforce which led us to move around quite a bit! However, I am the youngest of 4, and only had to move once during my childhood!

The reason I chose ODU is because my husband and I got stationed out here in Norfolk, Va. I recently left the Navy a little over a year ago, which led to make decide what was next for me! After taking a year off from working, I spent a majority of my time researching the next step for me. When I decided Dental Hygiene seemed like the best career for me, I researched programs near me! ODU was the closest colleges that had the best Dental Hygiene program! 

Throughout my life I have had many different hobbies, and interests, however I have 4 main hobbies that have maintained the same throughout my life! I played competitive softball throughout my life starting at the age of 4! I miss softball, and have hopes that one day I will play again on a team! Music has always had a special place in my heart! I have been singing for as long as I can remember! It so happens that music is a shared language between my husband and I, and has continued to be since Highschool! I was very involved in the music community growing up, and I sing everyday! I LOVE any type of puzzles! One of my favorite types of puzzles are escape rooms! I love the feeling of pressure, and challenge mixed all into one! Lastly, I enjoy playing video games, I know call me a nerd, but they make me feel at ease! 

One last thing that I think you will find intresting about me is my love for travel! I love traveling, and exploring new cultures, new places, and my favorite, THE FOODS!!
