Our project aims to optimize the design of a heavy-lift Y6 multirotor drone, starting with an existing 1-inch square tube aluminum frame. Our goal is to create a lightweight, transportable structure that can be assembled in under 10 minutes, achieved through the integration of an advanced lattice design and precise fabrication techniques to enhance strength while reducing weight. We will also develop a prototype and plan to scale up to a 2-inch frame by Spring 2024, targeting a total weight of 40 pounds or less. Stay tuned to our blog for updates on our progress!
