Hi! My name is Helena Van Benschoten, I am 18 years old from the Hudson Valley, one of the most beautiful places in New York. As you read that you probably thought “New York? What is she doing at Old Dominion” well, I only applied to out-of-state schools because I wanted a change for college. I came to ODU for a visit and instantly fell in love with the culture and campus. I’m very interested in science, I love figuring out how things work and why they work that way. I also really enjoy listening to music, playing field hockey, and watching movies.
