I would classify as a humble weed similar to the national flower of Scotland. Stubborn and defiant.

Survival mode taught young Jenna to find a way to flourish in challenging situations. Being raised in San Diego, California, to an average family sounds “picture perfect”. We were far from the ideal family. Once old enough to be financially sufficient I set off to find a place in this world. Young adulthood spent proving self-worth for six years in the hospitality industry. November 2018 I experienced what 1 in 3 women will face in their lifetime. It was an event big enough to force huge changes in life.

Winter 2019 began the extensive counseling and support for severe PTSD. Apryl, Aunt on biological mother’s side, is who continuously shows support in being an active role in my healing. Positive human connection and guidance showed there is an option of choice. We do not need to do it alone. Joe (fiance) supports my dreams and aspirations. We both encourage eacher other to be the best versions of ourselves.

Therapy and medication management make it possible to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Old Dominion University. The goal is a Master’s Degree. The primary interest in psychology stems from the inherent need to understand why. Currently, a full-time employee in government contracting supporting internal recruiting efforts. Cross-cultural psychology seemed a smart decision since majority of business is being done on a global scale.
